Deep Sea Fishing aboard "OSPREY" is great fun!!!

The start of a great deep sea fishing trip
aboard the "Osprey" in Port Mansfield, Texas.
An absolutely beautiful morning!!!
The boat dock.
Waiting to board.

My friend Harvey and I are ready to go!!!

The boat leaves at 7:30 AM sharp.

some sites along the channel.

A bird seen on shore on the way out.

Captain "Bobby" at the helm.
Leaving the marina. It takes an hour to navigate
through the Laguna Madre Bay and reach the Gulf waters.
So it is about 2 hours total before the fishing starts.

Jeremiah getting the bait ready on the way out.

I am guiding us out rather than back to shore.
It takes an hour to reach the fishing grounds
after entering the Gulf.

Once there all lines are in along both sides of the boat.

My friend Harvey is busy at it.
Another view from the front of the boat.

Fishing was excellent and at times there were
fish on every line at once.

One of my fish coming up. I was the first on the boat
to get my limit of 4 Red Snappers in less than 30 minutes!!!!

Another of my fish coming in!!!
FUN! FUN! FUN!

Below is the live well on the boat.
Unloading the boat at the dock'
The catch!!! 180 Red Snappers, 1 Red Drum. WOW!!
Me with my fish.
The line to have the fish cleaned.

Speedy fish cleaning!! Jeremiah and Steven do an excellent job!!
Even the captain "Bobby" helped out with cleaning my fish!!

The crew "Jeremiah and Steven" with our catch.
They were fantastic!!!!!
We took our fish to Pier 19 and had them cook it
to share with all our Winter Texan friends
from the Holiday Inn Express on Sout Padre Island.
What a great ending to a fantastic fishing trip.
The fish was cooked to perfection with some
grilled, some fried, some blackened.
It just doesn't get any better than that!!!!
It melts in your mouth!!
Check out the size of those onion rings!!!

Just the perfect ending to a great day of fishing!!

Our waiter, Alejandro, was great!! Thank you!!
We were even entertained while we ate by
Angie Gardner singing some great songs.
I would highly recomend going with Osprey deep
sea fishing. The crew was fantastic and really took
care of us well. The fishing was great as we actually
came back into port an hour and a half early due to
everyone on board having their limit. It was constant action from
the time we dropped our lines in. The trip was made even more
special by Pier 19 preparing the fish in a variety of ways
and being able to share with all our "Winter Texan"
Friends from the Holiday Inn Express.
