Seen Around South Padre Island (January-February)

South Padre Island has very nice beaches that you can drive on and provides a great opportunity to wach all the beach activity. There is always constant action at the beach.

Some drive cars and others ride bicycles as seen below.

And others take a wheelchair ride down the beach.

Ralph, Sandy, Bob, Betty, Donna and I are taking full advantage of the nice warm weather.

Talk about a "bad hair" day!!!!!

Donna said it best.

Climbing the dunes is always fun.

Building sandmen instead of snowmen. What fun!!

Picking up shells was always fun if you didn't get caught by a wave.

Jamie found a big one here!
Jamie and Justin looking for shells.
John, Donna, Krystal & Amber enjoying
Horseback riding on the beach! Great fun!! (Feb. 2008)

Decorated tree stump along the beach.

Some camp out on the beach.

Surf Fishing is big as well. Jim Turley from Toledo, Ohio caught this 100 LB 65 inch Bull Shark while we watched. That created a lot of excitement!! He said it was the biggest fish he ever caught.

My photo even made the Port Isabel Press on March 5th.
How good is that!!!!!!!!

The sunsets are simply breathtaking as pictured below.
A perfect ending to yet another perfect day on South Padre Island.

Tuesday night Bingo at the Community Center
in Port Isabel was the place to be Tuesday evenings.
Where else can you go play Bingo and win a
case of toilet paper. "Premium no less."
Donna was really on a roll this night!!!!
We sure had fun!!!
